29 Dec 2009EADS Astrium is an aerospace subsidiary of the European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company (EADS), dedicated to providing civil and defence space systems and services. In 2008, the company had a turnover of 4.3 billion euros and 15,000 employees in Europe.
In November 2009, after Estonia had signed European Cooperating State Agreement with ESA, representatives from EADS Astrium and its subsidiary Surrey Satellite Technology visited Estonia to share their thoughts on space business and look for new technologies and expertese from Estonia.
Estonian entrepreneurs have responded to the “space call” with some interesting ideas and concepts, that I have described in this article.
